Liberated salon began its journey in January 2015, creating one of the most accommodating, warm and eco-conscious environments. Located in the heart of Atwater Village, Liberated has joined the creative and prominent landscape of businesses that have popped up in the east side of Los Angeles.
With sustainability in mind, the salon’s design was approached with essentialism and diligent efforts in purchasing recycled, thrift, and refurbished furniture and decor. The efforts in reducing our carbon footprint is a consistent and evolving commitment. Liberated is fully stocked with products that are certified vegan , cruelty-free, and are sustainably packaged. Featured products include Kavella, Onesta , Formula 18, O&M, Iroiro, and Organics color systems. An eclectic variety of customers travel far and wide for our hair services, most of whom are searching for ammonia free, vegan, or pregnancy safe hair coloring.
Liberated has set a high standard of requirements in which our employees fulfill. Comprehensive hair education, great customer service, and inviting personalities define each of our unique stylists . Our color service clients, haircut transformations, and bold creative coloring can be seen on the Liberated Instagram, Facebook like page, and Yelp account. Some of our work can also be seen on various television shows, movies , and a variety of editorial publishings.
In a typical day we will attract a wide array of professions and a diversity of cultures. Local celebrities sharing space alongside our teachers and non-profit employees alike. From diligent recycling, shop lighting being 100% led, and relentless research in product ingredients and packaging, Liberated’s passion to lead by example and setting salon standards transcends to the local community. All eco-friendly salon disposables are purchased from B4Schools, which is a company that donates their proceeds to our local Los Angeles school districts. Liberated consistently hosts parties and events on location, in which we raise money for local animal shelters, women’s shelters, transitional housing, or any significant cause that we see fit.
We look forward to providing you a memorable experience in an environment you can be proud to support!
